My case was a very complicated immigration case. My husband and I went to our marriage interview and from there everything got sour, because I had a past marriage case that according to the USCIS was unresolved. Our case got stuck in immigration in ways that no lawyer in California has ever seen before. Our immigration officer denied my case and sent NOD letters without any legal basis for years, and the most frustrating part was waiting 6 to 9 months for each response letter to arrive. Immigration got many things mixed up many times and even after we won an appeal we still waited around 6 years to receive my green card. If it wasn’t for lawyers like David, cases like mine submissively retrieve and never confront the USCIS.
Since I got here to US 18 years ago I’ve worked with at least 5 different immigration lawyers (for different working visas and my green card) and I can tell you with no doubt David is the best!! What makes him really good is the combination of these 4 things:
1. He knows the law really well and has a strong practice combined with his willingness to do deep research to strategize the best route for his clients, based on his years of experience and the fact that he is very familiarized with the way the whole LA USCIS Building works.
2. He has the tenacity required to make bold moves, because he really cares about each case (and his not tired or bored of his profession). In my experience other lawyers lack on this quality. I felt safe and very well represented every time he shared with us the next move for our case. I also saw this quality on every single response letter he wrote on behalf of us. And the times he spoke on our behalf in front of an immigration officer. When I realized he was as mad and upset as we were with the way USCIS was unjustly treating our case I knew he was really on our side all the way.
3. He knows how to deal with the frustration of a client. To me this is also essential in a lawyer, his patience and calm attitude always humanized him and gave us hopes even at times when everything seemed lost.
4. His office and team are very professional, attentive, flexible and ready to serve. At this point they feel like family (Eleonora and Debora)
